She may even be the iconic Coronation Street character given how many years she’s been on the show and how many tiffs she’s had with Norris Cole.

And while it’s already been established that Rita will be seriously betrayed by her old mate Norris in the new year, the Kabin gal is set to face even more questionable behaviour over the next few weeks.
It’s so questionable in fact that her life is actually going to be in danger.
Not ideal.
The Sun reports that Gemma Winter’s brother Paul is going to show up on the street, after a stint in prison for a murder he didn’t commit.
Rather, it was Gemma who was involved in the death of an old woman, leaving the chipper worker fearful that Rita will discover her dark past.
Because who knows what’ll happen then.
A source told the publication: “Gemma fears all her secrets will be exposed when her brother Paul arrives in Weatherfield.”
“She’s managed to build a life for herself and put herself behind her. The last thing she needs is for Rita to find out that she had ties to the death of a rich old lady.”
Grim enough.
The source went on to say that Rita’s relationship with Gemma won’t be the only thing in jeopardy – but her safety will be too.
“Paul thinks Gemma’s up to he old tricks, and Rita could be in danger,” they said.
“Gemma tries her best to keep Paul away from Rita, but things could get difficult as he starts to get settled.”
It probably will, yeah.
