But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own.
The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile.
With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
The new footage also introduces Zazu, Timon and Pumbaa.
And the jam-packed clip lets fans get the first look at, if we're going based off the animated version of the iconic film, Nala and Simba's reunion during Can You Feel The Love Tonight?.

The final seconds of the trailer show Timon and Pumbaa trotting along, as the meerkat belts out The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
We cannot wait to see this on the big screen.
The Lion King will be released in Irish cinemas on July 19. But in the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
