Ekin-Su’s departing words to Jack Keating after the recoupling were incredible

Sarah McKenna Barry

Life really is a rollercoaster, isn’t it?

Last night’s post Casa Amor recoupling was up there with some of the most dramatic moments in Love Island history.

During the reunion, Luca and Gemma, Davide and Ekin-Su, and Paige and Jacques all decided to stay in their original coupling, while Jay, Danica, Dami, Indiyah, Andrew and Tasha all decided to select someone new to couple up with.

In the midst of the chaos, we also had to bid adieu to the Casa Amor crew, whose time on the show, many will agree, was short-lived.

Chief among them was Jack Keating, the son of Irish pop star Ronan Keating.

While he was on the show, we didn’t see much of Jack, beyond one chat with Gemma, but his exit was memorable. As the Casa crew said farewell to the islanders, Ekin-Su’s message to him provide some much-needed light relief.

Hugging the Irish lad goodbye, the Turkish soap-opera actress told him: “Life is a rollercoaster”.

This priceless reference to one of his dad’s biggest hits appeared to go down well with Jack, who replied to Ekin-Su, with a smile, saying: “Ah, you stop.”

Over on Twitter, fans were delighted with Ekin’s reference.

One wrote: “They should give Ekin-Su the prize money just for waving off Jack Keating with ‘Life is a Rollercoaster'”.

Another fan shared: “Ekin-Su needs to win purely for the ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’ line – absolute comedy queen.”

A third shared that they were impressed with Ekin-Su for managing to crack a joke despite being a bit shaken by the drama of the recoupling.

“Ekin-Su, shaking in anger, still able to deliver “life is a rollercoaster” to Jack Keating as he leaves, incredible,” they wrote.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and on the Virgin Media Player.
