Emmerdale fans have been absolutely heartbroken ever since Joe Tate died.
The faux-millionaire fell and hit his head after he was punched by Cain Dingle.
But ultimately, it was Graham Foster - whom Joe thought of as a dad-like figure - that killed him, after he noticed Joe's finger twitch when loading his body into the boot of the car.
Since then, there have been
plenty of theories that basically imply Joe isn't dead, as Graham wouldn't have been able to finish him off, and that he'll be returning to the 'dales any day now.
And while the show is saying that Joe is 100 per cent dead, some of the cast members have been speculating if Joe could end up coming back to the village in a huge twist.
Andrew Scarborough - who plays Graham - previously
admitted he didn't think his character would have been able to kill Joe.
Emma Atkins - who plays Charity Dingle - added another layer to the is-he-or-isn't-he mystery, admitting that even the
cast don't know whether Joe Tate is actually dead.
Now, fans have taken their search for answers - or, really, their Joe-isn't-actually-dead theory - to Ned Porteous' Instagram account.
Porteous, who played Joe, has been sharing a series of snaps from his time in California on the photo-sharing site - but fans have been trying to draw his attention back to the village, begging him to come back to
Emmerdale.
One person bluntly asked:
"When are you coming back to Emmerdale?"
Someone else added:
"Hope to see you in Emmerdale, hasn’t been the same without you."
Another person wrote:
"I was hoping the absence on your Instagram posts meant you were back filming as Joe."
A different social media user jokingly commented:
"You mean it's 'good to be back' at Emmerdale. The picture is just a ruse."
