Galway Film Fleadh has been named one of the top 25 coolest film festivals in the world.
The annual festival, which runs over six days each July, was chosen by a panel of judges to feature alongside events including the Portland Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival and SXSW in Austin, Texas.
Moviemaker described the Fleadh as “hilariously fun” and "smartly-curated Irish festival".
“A great market to meet industry execs by day, and drink whisky with them overlooking the river by night. Be careful—the sun comes up early and can catch you with a drink in hand,” said one panellist.
The Film Fleadh was the only Irish film festival to make the list, with the magazine also praising its industry Film Fair and "uniformly excellent cinema".
