Another magical episode is on the way.

Call The Midwife has given fans their first glimpse at the Christmas special.

The charming BBC series is set to return to our screens on December 25th.

The BBC released new photos from the festive special and it looks like we’re in for a heartwarming episode.

“Today we got our hands on the very first sneak-peek pictures of the new Call the Midwife Christmas Special – featuring Daniel Laurie (Reggie) And Leonie Elliott (Lucille)!”

The Call The Midwife team has kept the storyline well under wraps, but it looks like quite the big celebration is underway.

“Of course, we’re not going to tell you what happens in this episode, except to say that our own lovely Lucille has a LOT to prepare for…”

The team continued: “We are all very proud of this year’s Christmas episode, and just can’t WAIT for you to see it!”

The last series of Call The Midwife was an emotional rollercoaster but ended with the most moving episode. Lucille and Cyril finally got engaged.

Fans praised the series for creating such a heartwarming show during the pandemic.

“Well done to everyone for all the hard work and (still) pandemic precautions and bringing us some warmth and familiarity over Christmas,” one shared.

Another added, “So exciting! Christmas and CTM special is already a tradition!”

The proposal had fans in floods of tears so there’s no doubt the wedding is bound to have us sobbing.

Here’s hoping we get to see the pair tie the knot in a magical winter wedding this December.

We also can’t wait to see what unfolds between Trixie and the endearing Matthew Aylward.

The Christmas special will air on Christmas Day 2021.

Series 11 of Call The Midwife will air in 2022.

Let’s hope the series will be able to air during its normal time in January. This year’s series was delayed due to Covid, but it was certainly worth the wait.
