Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield gave emotional tribute to Caroline Flack on TV last night

Following the announcement of her death, friends, colleagues and fans of Caroline Flack paid honour to the star on TV and social media.

From floods of posts to touching images and television tributes, the star is being remembered for her loving personality, her kind soul, her incredible work ethic and her iconic slow-mo walk.

On last night’s Dancing on Ice, Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield took a minute to speak about their friend Caroline and pay tribute to her before continuing the show and their work.

Getting teary eyed while speaking, the paid said:

“We’d like to begin tonight’s show by taking a moment to remember Caroline Flack,’ Phil opened. “In light of yesterday’s awful news we wanted to say that our hearts go out to her family and friends,” he added.

“Many of us here on the show knew Caroline as a friend and will all miss her enormously. As Caroline herself recently posted, in a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

In respect to Caroline, Saturday and Sunday night’s episodes of Love Island didn’t air with ITV confirming the news to postpone the show yesterday evening.

Caroline rose to fame in 2002 when she starred in Bo’ Selecta!. She has since presented shows like I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW! and The Xtra Factor. 

She presented Love Island from 2015 until 2019.

In a statement from Sky news, Caroline’s family confirmed her death to the media on Saturday evening saying:

“We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February, we would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
