I’m a Celeb viewers criticise Ant McPartlin for behaviour during Fatima’s bushtucker trial

Fatima, I'm a Celeb

I’m a Celebrity viewers were criticising Ant McPartlin online during Monday night’s bushtucker trial for the way he was speaking to Fatima.

Ant was on his usual hosting duties with Dec as he welcomed Fatima Whitbread to a particularly terrifying Bushtucker Trial on the ITV show.

They explained the rules of the challenge to Whitbread and said she would have to get stars while the cage she was in was lowered deeper and deeper into a river.

Fatima was suspended over the water, with nine stars padlocked to the cage. Each key was hanging somewhere around the cage and it was up to the contestant to try and match the key to the right lock.

During the trial, Ant was the butt of some angry comments online as he kept asking the Olympian questions. He said: “Are you okay Fatima?” to which she replied: “Yeah”.

Instead of accepting her answer and moving on, Ant added: “Yeah? You’re sure?”

“What’s with all the questions? Fatima’s fighting for breath and Ant wants a chat!? #ImACeleb” one viewer wrote on Twitter.

Another said: “The fact that Ant keeps shouting while Fatima is underwater… what’s the point? Surely she can’t hear him?”

“You would just love to hear Ant and Dec bellowing questions at you when you’re trying to concentrate and they want an answer! I know what my answer would be!!!” a third fan of the show wrote.
