

While the two time Emmy-Award winner is well-known for her roles in the hit Netflix drama Ozark and Shonda Rhimes' true crime series Inventing Anna, this would be her biggest feature film role to date.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October last year, Madonna opened up about why she's making the movie herself.
“The reason I’m doing it is because a bunch of people have tried to write movies about me, but they’re always men,” she said.
She then began to describe one script from a specific studio that was not only “hideous” and “superficial” but also from an unnamed director she described as a “total misogynist" who had “no understanding of women,”
“Like they sent me the script because they wanted my blessing, and I read it,” she recalled. “It was the most hideous, superficial crap I’ve ever read.”
