Kim Cattrall could return for season two of And Just Like That

“The whole point of this series is to show that friendships evolve and change over time, so Kim is always welcome to come home.”

As we gear up for the highly anticipated Sex and the City reboot, we still feel a little bit gutted that all-round icon Samantha Jones is not making a comeback.

While her character was indeed a fan-favourite, Kim Cattrall has said previously that she’s not interested in reprising her role.

In 2020, the actress told The Guardian that she’s “had enough” Sex and the City after the second film.

Having said that, the show still has an open invitation for Kim Cattrall, so a cameo is not entirely out of the question.

In fact, an insider source told the Daily Mail that the cast and crew would love for her to return for the second season of And Just Like That.

The source said: “There was obviously a concern that people would miss Kim and not be engaged but the response so far has been phenomenal.

“And for fans of Kim, the door is open for her to return. If she ever changes her mind, she can come back.”

They added: “The ladies love and value her, and would love to see her on the new show. The whole point of this series is to show that friendships evolve and change over time, so Kim is always welcome to come home.”

It’s still early days for And Just Like That, as shooting for the series continues on location in New York City.

While Samantha isn’t returning for the first season anyway, a number of familiar faces will be joining Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) for the reboot.

Mr Big (Chris Noth), Aidan (John Corbett), Steve (David Eigenberg), Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson), Anthony (Mario Cantone) and Harry (Evan Handler) are all on board for And Just Like That.

Most recently, Bridget Moynahan, who played Big’s second wife, was spotted on set.
