Is this is the first confirmed Islander?
Word circulating today is that ITV bosses have just signed up the first Islander to compete in the winter edition of the popular reality TV show.
Jay Murno is the name to get familiar with.
The singleton is a former footballer turned model and presenter – as you do.
Appearing on The Voice Australia earlier this year, Jay has a charismatic flair and relaxed in front of the cameras which will certainly help when he’s thrown into the South African villa.
Speaking to The Daily Star a souce said:
“Jay will be the one all the girls will be chasing. Just like Tommy Fury, he’s a sportsman, in good shape and has dreamy looks.”
Jay was apparently meant to feature in the summer Love Island alongside fellow sports star, Tommy Fury but, they felt it was best to hold him for the winter series.
Jay is 22-years-old.

The 22-year-old also naturally has over 50,000 followers on Instagram giving his a good starting block for the millions of others we’re sure will follow suit.
And although bosses appear to be signing some folk, applications don’t officially close until November 30 so, if you like what you see, get applying.
Last month it was also reported that another male was in talks to be signed for the new season.
The Sun reported that model and personal trainer (no way, really?) Ellis Iyayi would be one of the first islanders to enter the South African villa this year.
Having already worked with brands of note such as ASOS, Nike, and JD Sports, apparently producers feel like they’ve already stuck gold with the Leeds lad.

“Ellis is over the moon about it – he’s had to be sworn to secrecy about it but he’s been in to meet producers a few times and they love him – he can’t wait to get in the villa,” said a source.
