Love Island fans can’t get over this clip of Faye diving into the pool

Did you spot this?

Last night’s Love Island final was eventful to say the least.

Vows were made, reunions were had, and despite their rocky road in the villa, Millie and Liam took home the top prize of £50,000.

With all this chaos, you’d be forgiven if you missed the clip of Faye jumping literally face-first into the pool.

It was, no doubt, a blink and you miss it moment, but for several eagle-eyed viewers, it was the highlight of the last episode of Love Island 2021.

Prior to her triumphant dive, the islanders held hands and legged it over to the pool for one last hurrah.

While the others opted for a more traditional jump (feet first), Faye, being the contrarian she is, decided to try out a less conventional approach.

We’re not entirely sure how she managed it, but the Bristolian entered the pool face first, and it was truly a thing of beauty.

Over on Twitter, fans couldn’t contain themselves.

“i’m sorry are we not gonna talk about faye absolutely YEETING herself in the pool,” one fan wrote.

Another said: “Why am I crying at the way Faye dived into the pool”

Others weren’t able to wrap their heads round it, and honestly, same.

“Can we just comprehend Faye’s pool dive,” one viewer wrote.

Some felt the move felt vaguely familiar, and, after thorough investigation, it did indeed bear a striking resemblance to Olivia Atwood’s swan dive in the 2017 edition of the show.

One fan felt like it was an ode to the former contestant.

“Not Faye diving to really solidify being the Olivia Atwood of the season,” one fan tweeted.

Another shared clips of Olivia’s initial dive and wrote: “Faye is giving me flashbacks.”

In any case, it seems like Faye is continuing on with the finale dive tradition, and we hope it sticks around.
