Love Island fans react to Tasha making Andrew her boyfriend

Ellen Fitzpatrick

A wild episode.

Last night’s episode of Love Island was full of big romantic gestures, but the biggest was easily Tasha asking Andrew to be her boyfriend in the most Love Island way possible.

Despite only last week being on the fence about reigniting her flame with Andrew after his antics in Casa Amor, Tasha decided to give Andrew a second chance and make things official.

It was only earlier this week we saw the two in a heated argument, and Tasha even cried to Billy in bed saying she didn’t want the “fear of missing out” on him, but it seems things have changed fast.

Due to her actions over the last few days, fans are questioning how she so easily forgave Andrew and made such extreme amends with him, and many are thinking there might be another reason she made things real with him.

Telling the other islanders her surprise plan, Tasha told Paige and Gemma: “I’ve been planning on making Andrew my boyfriend! I’ve made up a whole speech. I wrote it on my phone today.”

After a scavenger hunt around the villa, Tasha finally made her speak and popped the question, which of course Andrew said yes to.

Viewers were baffled by the how quickly things turned around for the two of them, with many sharing their theory that Tasha only did this after Gemma and Luca said I love you for the first time the day before.

One person wrote: “tasha just got intimidated by luca and gemma saying ‘i love you’ and wanted to one-up them it’s so obvious #loveisland.”

Another said: “I’m totally confused how Tasha has totally fallen for Andrew and sees him as boyfriend material? Literally a week ago he was sucking another girls tits or whatever #loveisland.”

A third wrote: “Coincidentally Tasha is doing this the day after Luca confesses his love for Gemma- also, the idea ain’t original at all.”

A fourth added: “I feel like tasha is only making it official because luca told gemma he loved her and she wants to go one step ahead to try and be better and win.”
