We’re heading back to the villa once more

Fans of Love Island will be pleased to know that the summer edition of the series is just around the corner.

The hit ITV2 reality show will grace our screens again in eight weeks time, with The Sun revealing that the programme will begin again on Monday June 5.

Popular presenter Maya Jama will be back to host the show once more after proving to be hugely successful on the winter edition that aired earlier this year.

As is customary, those entering the villa will head back to island of Majorca where the winners will stay for as long as two months.

One source said: “Love Island will start on June 5, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers.

“ITV have already lined up the islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca.

“The cast will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks.

“It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started.”

This year saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan crowned winners of the winter edition, which took place in South Africa.

They beat fellow competitors Tom Clare & Samie Elishi, Lana Jenkins & Ron Hall, and Shaq Muhammad & Tanya Manhenga to the prestigious crown.
