Love Island’s Lacey says there’s a good chance of relationship with Deji

Sarah McKenna Barry

She was dumped from the show last night.

After being dumped from the Love Island villa alongside Deji Adeniyi, Reece Forde and Nathalia Campos, Lacey Edwards has said that she still believes a good relationship could blossom between her and Deji.

In her exit interview, the showgirl said: “I 100% think there could have been a good chance of our relationship blossoming.

“It’s such early days but we both slotted in so well to Villa life, the boys found him hilarious, the girls found me hilarious. We had banter with everyone and they were all really supportive of us. We didn’t get enough time but we are outside now so we can still carry on.”

As for who she thinks will win the show, Lacey is backing Ekin-Su and Davide, and cited her close friendship with Ekin in her reasoning.

“She’s got all my clothes and vice versa, she’s such a great girl and they are so funny together,” she said. “But I also just love Indiyah, she is the kindest girl and those two (Dami and Indiyah) just vibe. They are really strong but I am backing Ekin and Davide.”

Summing up her Love Island experience, Lacey described it as the “most exciting” thing she’s ever done in her life.

“I was so grateful I got to be a part of it,” she said.

In his exit interview, Deji reflected on his brief relationship with Indiyah following Casa Amor.

“I didn’t know if I’d be able to break the bond that Indiyah and Dami had because it was so strong,” he said. “I feel like actions speak louder than words and me and Indiyah definitely had something there which is the reason why we got on as well as we did and went back to the main Villa.”

He then described her as “beautiful inside and out”.

“She’s just a pure soul and I just feel like our personalities are a perfect fit so we just gravitate towards each other. Even after everything said and done, we’re still very close.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pn on Virgin Media Two and on the Virgin Media Player.
