THE BIG SHORT
Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling headline this retelling of how financial experts predicted the impending, mid-00s financial collapse. Much more entertaining than that description makes it sound like.
CAPTAIN PHILLIPS
Tom Hanks really should’ve won the Oscar for his portrayal of the real-life captain of a ship that was overtaken by Somali pirates in 2009.
