The reason for Jamie and Louise Redknapp’s split has come to light

People were shocked during the week when it was revealed that Jamie and Louise Redknapp had split up. While neither of them have confirmed the news, a friend of Louise's said it was true. Speculation began about the split and it mostly centred around the 'Strictly curse' after Louise appeared on the show. In the past, the 'curse' has seen contestants leaving their current partners for their dancing partners. This isn't the case with Louise, but reports suggest it's still linked to the show and how close she got to Daisy Lowe. Sources say that Louise got a new lease of life while on the show and enjoyed hanging out with Daisy Lowe so much that she put a strain on their marriage. The two became inseparable during filming and carried on the friendship after it ended, going out on nights out and attending events together, something Louise would have done with Jamie previously.

According to The Sun, a source said:

"Louise had become very close to her new friends from Strictly – they formed a real bond. That became even stronger on the tour where Louise became inseparable from Daisy. “Louise ended up spending a lot more time away from home with Daisy and rediscovering her youth.

Meanwhile, another source said:

“Strictly completely changed Louise. She realised the passion she had for being a performer and a star with a career in her own right was still there. She had spent over a decade successfully raising their children and being a doting wife. But in the end it didn’t fulfil her. Of course, that’s difficult for Jamie to understand. He didn’t think there was any trouble in the marriage.”

In the past, Louise has spoken about how she is just known as Jamie Rednapp's wife. She admitted that it was fine but that she liked 'just being Louise'.
