The Holby City actor took home the Glitterball Trophy during last night’s final.

Joe McFadden was voted the winner of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing last night, after facing-off tough competition from Alexandra Burke, Debbie McGee and Gemma Atkinson.

Yes, the actor and his partner Katya Jones seemed totally shocked and elated when their names were read out as this year’s big winners, however, Strictly Champion isn’t the only title Joe won last night.

At 42 years old, Joe has now become the oldest ever contestant to win Strictly Come Dancing.

Yep, it’s hard to believe that at 42 you could be the oldest anything, but last night Joe took the title from the 2009 winner, presenter Chris Hollins, who was 38 when he won the show.

And if we’re talking making and breaking records; Joe also became the first Scottish competitor to win the show after last night’s results were announced.

Yes, the actor’s win has set all sorts of new records, that now stand to be broken by next year’s contestants.
