Snuggle in – there are LOADS of lovely things to watch on telly this evening

Fire on, feet up.

Staying in? Here are three of the best things to watch on telly

Happy days.

Are you in bits after a heavy sesh? Fed up of the family already? In need of some visual comfort food?

Well, fear not. ‘Tis the season and so TV viewers are being spoiled for choice this evening.

We’ve handpicked some of our very favourite films and TV shows from the schedule that we know you’ll love.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

The 2014 film is Wes Anderson at his very best and boasts a stellar cast including Ralph Fiennes, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, Jude Law and Saoirse Ronan.

Honestly, you could watch this with the sound off and just enjoy how pretty it is, but we recommend you listen in too. You won’t regret it.

Film 4, 11.20pm

Inside Apollo House

A rerun of the documentary that looks at how, two years ago this Christmas, a group of people took over a former office block in Dublin city centre and turned it into a shelter for the homeless for 27 nights.

Not the lightest of fare, maybe, but a good watch nonetheless.

The Holiday

Yes, you’ve seen it multiple times but doesn’t it still deserve a viewing?

We’ll be tuning in to enjoy the film’s best love story of all – the relationship between Iris and Arthur.

It’s no Love Actually and never will be (I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise) but is just as easy to watch, especially if the whole family is over.

RTÉ One, 9.30pm.
