The co-creators of Friends have revealed the storylines they regret the most

The creators of Friends have revealed which storylines they regret the most.

Marta Kauffman and David Crane were reminiscing about the iconic sitcom at the Tribeca TV Festival’s 25th anniversary celebration earlier this month.

And it turns out that out of Friends’ 236 episodes, there were two storylines in particular that Kauffman wishes they had actually done differently.

She explained [via The Hollywood Reporter] that they were when Phoebe starts dating her sister Ursula’s stalker – “we did a lot of rewriting on that to make it work,” she noted – and when Phoebe and her love interest, played by Charlie Sheen, spent a meant-to-be romantic weekend battling through an outbreak of chicken pox.

Crane, meanwhile, didn’t name a specific episode – although he admitted he finds some of the jokes tough to watch when rewatching old episodes.

“[I’ll wonder], ‘Wow, really? We went with that?'” he said. “There are some [jokes] that are better than others.”

“It’s much harder for me to enjoy the good moments when there are moments in it where I’m going, ‘Oh my God, we let that happen? We did that,'” Kauffman added.

“We couldn’t stay 10 more minutes and just find a better joke?,” Crane admitted to wondering. “But that’s just us beating ourselves up.”

It comes as it was announced a Friends musical is on the way to Ireland next year and, honest, could we be any more excited?
