The first look at Helena Bonham Carter in The Crown is here and she looks PERFECT

Keeley Ryan

First, we were asked to have patience.

And now The Crown is asking fans to have hope – as they have revealed the first look at Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.

Production is currently underway for the third season of Netflix’s historical drama, with an entire new cast in place.

Original cast members Claire Foy (HRH Queen Elizabeth II); Matt Smith (Prince Phillip); and Vanessa Kirby (Princess Margaret) have all departed their roles – and now Netflix have started giving fans some brief looks at what to expect.

Earlier this week, we got the first look at Olivia Coleman in her new role as Queen Elizabeth II.

And now we’ve gotten a look at Helena Bonham Carter in her new role as Princess Margaret – and, honestly, she looks pretty perfect.

The pair will be joined by Game of Thrones’ Tobias Menzies, who will be taking over the role of Prince Phillip.

Sadly, though, we’ve gotten no look at him in his new role just yet.

Ben Daniels will be joining the show as Lord Snowdon, or Antony Armstrong-Jones – and Netflix have also shared the first shot of him.

The role was previously played by Matthew Goode.

The images come after the show has just received 13 Emmy nominations including one for Foy in her role as young Elizabeth.
