When it rains live-action remakes, it pours.
Less than a week after Disney announced that a live-action reinvention of Aladdin, it seems another movie for cartoon fans is on the way.
The latest classic animation to get a new lease of life is 1963’s The Sword in the Stone, the story of 12-year-old orphan Arthur, (aka Wart), his adventures with Merlin the wizard and his destiny as the future King of England.
The screenplay already looks incredibly promising, as Game of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman has been tasked with penning the story.

The news comes in the wake of box-office successes Maleficent and Cinderella, and with live-action remakes of Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book and Dumbo on the way.
