If you’re a fan of 3D cinema but still looking for something more, this is the news you need to hear… 4D cinemas have just launched in the UK, bringing the screen to life with a series of new features. Windy on screen? You better wrap up warm in your seat. Scared of thunder and lightning? There’s a storm brewing in your cinema. The 4D cinema’s special effects will include seats that move backwards and forwards with the action, fog, lightning and storms to bubbles floating across the audience's heads, jets of water and puffs of scented air. Cineworld multiplex in Milton Keynes, London will be the first UK cinema to offer the new experience (and the closest port of call for any Irish cinemagoers). Although the advanced screening has been available since 2009, the added effects have yet to be introduced to the Irish market.
