Tiger King season 2 was only released on Netflix last week but we may be seeing more Mr. Joe Exotic very soon.

The second season delved even deeper into the lives of big cat owners, caught up with Joe in prison, took another look at the eccentric Jeff Lowe, and claimed Carole Baskin's husband is still alive. It also gave us major 2020 lockdown flashbacks.

Fans will be delighted to hear it's now been teased that more episodes could be released next year, according to Metro.

A source close to Joe Exotic told the publication:

"I have heard they [Netflix] have a couple more episodes in the can that they’re going to release later.

"They’re holding back two or three episodes for February in case he gets out of prison by then. I can’t imagine he’d get out that quickly unless he gets a pardon, which I don’t think is likely."

Netflix has yet to confirm the claims, so for now, we'll have to sit tight. Although with the brilliant ratings the show has received, it's highly likely future episodes will be on the way soon.

Joe Exotic is currently serving 22 years in prison for plotting to murder Carole Baskin and violating the Endangered Species Act.

Earlier this year, the 58-year-old was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

The news was shared on Instagram, with Joe writing:

"Everyone, it is with a sad face that I have to tell you the doctors called me in today to break the news that my prostate biopsy came back with an aggressive cancer, I am still waiting on the results from the other test as well."

He added that he didn't want any pity and that he was sure Carole Baskin would "have her own party over this".

"What I need is the world to be my voice to be released," he continued. "They have the proof that I did not do this and there is no reason for the U.S. Attorney to drag this out so I can go home and get treatment on my own or enjoy what life I have left with my loved ones."

He ended his letter by asking his followers to "say a prayer" and to "be my voice".
