Wait, are former contestants returning for Casa Amor?

Could it be?

This year’s Love Island has already been a bit of a wild ride, and, if the rumour mill is anything to go by, it looks like it won’t be calming down any time soon.

With previous contestants jetting off to the south of Spain, some super fans are anticipating a huge twist to this year’s edition of Casa Amor.

As per Love Island tradition, Casa Amor week sees the girls and boys separate into two different villas, while a fresh batch of contestants join them, all with the intention of turning heads and testing existing couplings.

Right now, Amber Gill, Yewande Biala, Anna Vakili, Kaz Kamwi, Liberty Poole, Brett Staniland and Chloe Burrows are all holidaying in Majorca, which is where the show is being filmed. This has led fans to believe that this year’s Casa Amor will be stacked with former contestants.

Now, as much as we’d love to believe this theory, it’s not exactly air tight. For starters, Chloe is still in a relationship with Toby Aromolaran, which would disqualify her from taking part. Moreover, Majorca is a popular holiday destination, so their presence there could simply be coincidental.

Additionally, the Love Island bosses are usually super cautious about leaking the show’s twists, so if former islanders were headed into the villa again, it’s likely that they’d need to be far more discrete about their location.

Unless, of course, this is all just a red herring.

In any case, we absolutely cannot wait for this year’s Casa Amor, which is rumoured to kick off on 4 July.

Last week, an insider told The Sun: “Just when the Islanders start to get comfortable in their couples, they are going to get a real shock as they are torn apart.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and on the Virgin Media Player.
