WATCH: Apple TV+’s Truth Be Told is thriller that will be your new TV obsession

“Is there an innocent man sitting in prison – and did I lead that charge?”

The first look at Apple TV+’s Truth Be Told is here – and we’re getting some serious Making A Murderer vibes.

The series follows investigative reporter Poppy Parnell, played by Octavia Spencer, who has her own true crime podcast.

New evidence compels her to reopen the case that made her a national sensation, leading Poppy to come face-to-face with Warren Cave (played by Aaron Paul) – a man she made have mistakenly help put in prison.

Cave was convicted of the murder of Chuck Buhrman, the father of identical twins Josie and Lanie – played by Lizzie Caplan.

“18 years, 10 months, 24 days, that’s how long Warren Cave has sat in prison for the murder of Chuck Buhrman,” Poppy says in a voice over.  “I helped seal Warren’s fate with a series of articles, but is there an innocent man in prison? And did I lead that charge?”

This is definitely going to be one to keep an eye out for.

Truth Be Told premieres on Apple TV+ on December 6. But in the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
