WATCH: Blake Lively is out for revenge in the first look at The Rhythm Section
The first look at Blake Lively's upcoming thriller The Rhythm Section is finally here.
The actress and her family relocated to Ireland in late 2017, as filming for the highly-anticipated thriller took place.
The 32-year-old plays Stephanie Patrick, an ordinary woman who is put on the path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash.
And when she finds out that the crash wasn't an accident like she had been led to believe, Stephanie entered a dark and complex word to try and seek revenge on those who are responsible - and to find her own redemption.
The movie, which is based on the novel by Mark Burnell, is directed by The Handmaid's Tale's Reed Morano. It also stars Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown.
The Rhythm Section has originally been slated for a 2019 release, however production on the film was delayed after Blake Lively injured her hand while filming an action sequence in Dublin at the end of 2017.
It was suspended again in early 2018, after it emerged that the actress needed further surgery on her hand.
The Rhythm Section is currently scheduled to be released in North America on January 31, 2020, and on February 21, 2020 in Ireland and the UK.
