We’ve edited some Wikipedia pages for the good of mankind

Ciara Knight

Wikipedia is a wonderful resource.

I can’t say Wikipedia without the warnings of my former lecturers ringing in my ears saying “Don’t trust it”, “Anyone can edit a Wikipedia page”, “It’s not a reliable resource” and “You’re going to have to work harder if you want to pass this semester, Ciara”.

College opened my eyes to the reality that you can edit any Wikipedia page in the world to say anything as incriminating or ridiculous as you like.

With that in mind, behold the fruits of my divilment.

“Freddo is an extremely overpriced brand of chocolate bar…”

Wiki1

The Immaculate Conception is essentially a lie that has gotten out of hand”

Wiki2

“Five (stupidly spelled as 5ive)”

Wiki3

“Those that are able to precisely apply winged eyeliner are witches practicing witchcraft…”

Wiki4

At this point, Wikipedia blocked me from “vandalising” any further Wikipedia pages and now I fear for my safety and the safety of my family.

Here’s what else I would’ve edited:

Nathan Carter’s Wagon Wheel is Ireland’s National Anthem.

The iPhone battery lasts roughly twelve minutes.

Nadine Coyle’s date of birth is 15th June 1985…. or is it?

Saint Bernard is the patron saint of fashionable yet affordable clothing.

Snape kills Dumbledore, sorry to ruin the film if you haven’t seen it.

Quinoa is a disgusting food that tastes like garbage and is impossible to successfully cook.

Thanks Wikipedia, for ruining my otherwise enjoyable afternoon.
