He’s given an update on his daughter’s condition.

Ashley Cain has admitted he’s been struggling with “pain and depression” amid his daughter’s cancer journey. Earlier this month the reality show star and his partner, Safiyya, were told their 8-month-old baby daughter was terminal after she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia. Since then, there’s been a massive outpouring of support for baby Azaylia and just last week she received thousands of nominations for the Pride of Britain Award.

Despite this, the Ex on the Beach star has admitted there’s a lot the public doesn’t see and it’s getting harder every day.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the 30-year-old admitted that going for runs is his “therapy” saying, “It’s been months [since I ran] and the last few days especially I’ve woke up feeling pain, stress and depression that’s been consuming my mind as well as my body.”

“It’s stopped me from doing the things that were second nature to me and I don’t like it. So my go-to is getting up, getting out and getting at it. This is my therapy.”

Cain added that he hoped he can be the “best me that I can be for my daughter. I can give her energy, I can give her commitment, I can give her positivity.”

Ashley explained the last few days have been extremely tough and admitted that “there’s a lot you don’t see on this journey, there’s a lot you wouldn’t want to see.” Last week, Azaylia’s mother Safiyya described the past few days as “torture”, though she said she would try and make every day “as happy, as fun and as playful as possible” for her daughter.
