“We must continue to live and learn from her words and lyrics.”

Tributes are pouring in for America’s Got Talent star Jane Marczewski, who has passed away from cancer aged 31.

The singer, who was also known by her stage name Nightbirde, appeared on the reality TV series in 2021.

She famously earned a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell on the show after an unbelievable first audition performance.

Jane was forced to pull out of the competition in August as her condition took “a turn for the worse”.

On Monday, sources confirmed to TMZ that she had sadly died while undergoing treatment.

America’s Got Talent’s official Twitter account confirmed the news, saying that Jane’s story had “touched millions”.

Modern Family actress and judge Sofia Vergara paid tribute to the late singer on Instagram.

“Rest in power @_nightbirde. We lost a shining star today,” she wrote alongside a black and white photograph.

“You were a true inspiration to all. Sending so much love to Nightbirde’s family and friends.

“She was something special.”

The show’s host Terry Crews wrote: “We are saddened to learn about @_nightbirde’s Passing. Our Condolences goes to her Closest Family & Friends in such of this difficult time. We Love you, Nightbirde.”

Comedian Howie Mandel said Jane was “such a bright inspirational light in all our lives”.

“We must continue to live and learn from her words and lyrics,” he added. “As much as I feel horribly about her passing I feel lucky to to have met, heard and known her.”

Jane was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and the disease later spread to her lungs, spine and liver.

In 2019, she was told that she had just a few months to live but went on to live another three years.

Jane was extremely open about her struggle with cancer online and maintained a positive outlook on life despite her health struggles. The singer was admired for her resilience throughout her time on America’s Got Talent.

During her audition she informed the judges that she only had a two per cent chance of survival, before adding that “two per cent is not zero per cent”.
