One of Channing Tatum’s best movies is on TV tonight and that’s our Friday night sorted

Keeley Ryan

Staying in tonight? Already powered through your Netflix queue and on the lookout for something new?

We totally get it.

Spending a night in on the search for something new to watch can seem daunting at the best of times. Especially if there’s a chance that you may not actually find something.

But, thankfully, there’s some great movies on TV tonight that you won’t want to miss out on.

Among them? Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike.

It follows the life of Mike (Channing Tatum), who makes ends meet any way that he possibly can: through handyman jobs, designing furniture or detailing cars.

But once the sun sets, Mike becomes the headliner (and one of the most popular dancers) at an all-male strip club as one of the Kings of Tampa.

He takes one of the new recruits, a 19-year-old who he dubs ‘the Kid’ (Alex Pettyfer), under his wing after seeing some potential in him.

But as he begins to teach ‘The Kid’ everything he knows, Mike begins to realise that there’s a downside to his lifestyle – especially when he strikes up a romance with The Kid’s sister, Brooke.

The 2012 dramedy is loosely based on Channing Tatum’s own experiences from when he worked as a stripper in Florida when he was younger.

Magic Mike begins tonight at 9pm on E4 – but if you don’t fancy catching up with Channing and Co., there’s some other unreal movies hitting the small screen.
