The breathtaking wedding dress trend you’re going to see a lot of next year

Keeley Ryan

Saying ‘I do’ next year?

If you’re getting married next year, chances are you have at least thought about what kind of dress you’re going to get – if not started your visits to bridal shops already.

But if you haven’t found the dress quite yet, we’ve got some good news: there are a number of trends predicted to be huge for 2020.

So it’s the perfect way to get some inspiration, really.

And while trends should never dictate what you wear, it’s always interesting to see what new designs are featuring particularly when it comes to choosing a look for one of the biggest days of your life.

According to Bridesthere were a number of stunning trends on show when the Bridal Fashion Week took place last month.

From bridal blazers to the high-low hemline; crochet lace bridal gowns to short suits: there is literally something to suit the taste of every bride.

But one of our favourites had to be the resurgence of glamorous, old Hollywood-style gowns – from Art Deco-inspired dresses to satin ball gowns.

It’s a stunning option for brides-to-be who are after something classic and timeless, while still letting their personality shine through.

And if you’re looking to get ahead of the trend (or simply just want to get the look at a fraction of the cost), some high street retailers have released similar style gowns which we absolutely adore.

H&M have a beautiful satin ballerina-length gown for just €59.99, and we’re still swooning over Monsoon’s Margaret embellished maxi dress.
