Django Unchained star Daniele Watts has been formally charged with lewd conduct, after police found her having sex with her boyfriend in public.
The actress was at the centre of major controversy in September when she was arrested by police who claimed she was having sex in the front seat of her car with the door open outside CBS Studios, where she had previously been filming.
Watts claimed that she had only been kissing her partner and accused the officers of intervening in the situation due to her race.
However, police have said they have several witnesses and photographic evidence to back their version of events and Watts and her boyfriend have now been charged with lewd conduct.
The offense is punishable by a maximum of six months in jail.
