Adam Collard’s ex girlfriend issues statement following villa entry

Yikes.

Adam Collard’s ex-girlfriend Josie Baxter has released a statement claiming following reports that he dumped her to enter the Love Island villa.

Adam first appeared on the show back in 2018 on the fourth series and returned this year as the ultimate bombshell, with the show making a huge twist like this for the first time.

As he arrived back, Adam revealed he was only recently single, with his last relationship only ending two months ago.

Insiders have since revealed to The Sun that he and Rosie only split up in June after two years together, and they reported that the two were planning on buying a house together before the sudden split.

To make things a lot worse, the ex-couple still works together at Adam’s gym and she has been running the socials for it while Adam has been on Love Island.

The insider told The Sun: “As far as Josie was concerned they were serious, they were looking to buy a house together.

“It’s very awkward as they obviously both work together and so everyone at the gym knows what has been going on. Newcastle is a small place and people talk.”

“It doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots. Poor Josie appears to be collateral damage of Adam using Love Island like a business opportunity.”

The source added that Adam was in talks about returning to Love Island in April, but a source close to him has denied this, saying he was single when he was approached about going back on the show.

Speaking about the article published, Josie has released her own statement on Instagram.

The personal trainer wrote: “I have so far chosen not to speak out about my current situation.

“It is a very sensitive subject to me and not something I ever wanted to deal with in the public eye.

“I still have a strong friendship with Adam and his family and we still are working together and will continue to do so. Misleading stories are being written which isn’t okay.

“Please respect that I don’t want to speak of this matter again.”
