Amelia Dimoldenberg is the best of us

The Chicken Shop Date presenter and actor sent fans into a frenzy after their episode of the popular show.

Their chemistry was palpable, and fans were desperate for them to get together, but it looks like they're just friends.

Dimoldenberg admitted nothing romantic is going on between her and the actor.

She stressed that the flirting stopped after she 'friend-zoned' him in the episode.

However, she was full of praise for the Spiderman actor.

She explained to Cosmopolitan:

"It’s been great to speak to him about how well the episode has done. He’s so lovely. As I said in the episode, I friend-zoned him."

"I consider myself a journalist, and once you start getting that close to the people you’re interviewing, it changes the way you can approach the interview," she said.

The journalist admitted that she has no interest in being friends with Hollywood's elite.

"People want to hang out with me because I’m a fun time and I like to party, but I’m not interested in pursuing friendships with celebrities."

"It was one of the best things I’ve ever been a part of."

The Internet may be disappointed to hear the pair aren't involved in real life, but Dimoldenberg is focusing on the success of Chickenshop Date rather than rumours about her and Garfield.

Their episode of the online show has now been viewed over 10 million times.

The 31-year-old said: "I’m so happy to have made something that’s affected people in that way."

"To see videos of people renting out their office meeting rooms to watch the episode – it was one of the best things I’ve ever been a part of," she added.
