Amy Winehouse’s Dad Mitch Prays For Blake Fielder-Civil’s Recovery

Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch is praying that his late daughter’s ex-husband recovers in hospital.

Blake Fielder-Civil was rushed to hospital on Wednesday night when the mother of his child found him unconscious after swallowing his tongue and choking on his own vomit.

Fielder-Civil has had a long-term addiction to heroin and is now on a life support machine after several of his major organs failed on Wednesday.

Amy and Blake divorced in 2009 after a rocky relationship 

However, Amy’s dad hopes that he will recover.

According to The Irish Sun Mitch said: “It is just incredibly sad and awful this has happened.

My thoughts are with his family and friends. We are all thinking about him,” he said.

In a tweet to his 48,000 Twitter followers yesterday, the 60-year-old wrote: “Terrible news about Blake this morning. Remember Amy loved him. Let’s pray for his recovery.”

Blake Fielder Civil married Amy in 2007 after two years of dating. However, the marriage was short lived and the couple divorced in 2009.

Amy was found dead in her apartment in Camden, London last year. Coroners confirmed that the singer was over five times the drink drive limit after bingeing on alcohol.
