The investigation is now closed.

Earlier today, news broke that Brad Pitt had been cleared of child abuse allegations with no charges filed against the 52-year-old actor.

Following that, his estranged wife Angelina (41), who filed for divorce in September, has released a statement.

A representative for the actress, director and humanitarian spoke to TMZ:

“Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal”.

The investigation was brought to a halt by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services with an alleged argument between Pitt and Maddox, the couple’s son, the main focus of attention.

Although Brad has been cleared of any misconduct, it’s thought that Angelina is still fighting for full custody leaving Brad with visitation rights.

A legal agreement has been signed, obtained by E! Online, which currently allows Brad to visit their six children.

“We can confirm that childcare professionals have encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides over a week ago.

In accordance with this agreement, the six children will stay in their mother’s custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father. This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children’s best interest”.

However, these supervised visits were agreed during the investigation and now it’s over, reports say Brad is eager to get joint custody.
