So apparently George and Mollie from Love Island aren’t actually step siblings

Ellen Fitzpatrick

It wasn’t real?

Love Island stars Mollie Salmon and George Tasker made headlines last month after it emerged that the Casa Amor duo became step siblings.

George announced last month on his Instagram story that his mum had married Mollie’s dad after the two had met on the set of the Love Island 2022 reunion show.

When asked about a photo of him and Mollie, he replied: “So basically, absolute madness, my mum has married Mollie’s dad. So now we are stepbrother and stepsister, which is mad.

“They met at the reunion about a month ago and since then got engaged and got married.”

George has shared a post of his mum on her wedding day to Mollie’s dad, congratulating her on the big day but at the time, nobody suspected anything.

This isn’t the only thing the two have in common, either. During their time on the hit ITV2 reality series, both George and Mollie seemed to get to know the now winners of the show.

George was spotted on one episode having some bedtime fun with winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu while over in the main villa, Mollie shared a kiss with Davide Sanclimenti.

While fans had no reason to think the story was made up, Tasha Ghouri appeared on 98FM’s Big Breakfast yesterday and was asked about the story, which she immediately put to rest.

She said: “I can actually confirm that this is not true, I actually saw Molly the other day and I did ask her about it, and she said it’s not true. so..yeah, just to put it out there!”

Also speaking on the show, Tasha revealed the next TV show she has her mind set on, and these ones scream Tasha.

She said: “I think everyone expects this, I would love to do something like Dancing on Ice or Strictly Come Dancing just because they are both linked with dancing so what else would I not love to do!”
