They got engaged last year.
Avril Lavigne and her partner Mod Sun have called it quits.
The couple were engaged to be married but a representative for the Sk8er Boi singer told Page Six that they have called time on their relationship.
Having said that, a spokesperson for Mod Sun stated that prior to Avril’s comment, the pair were still engaged and together, and that reports of their split is “news” to him.
They said: “They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”
Mod Sun is currently on tour, and his representative confirmed that his performances will continue as planned.
They said: “The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour.”
Avril and Mod got engaged in Paris last March after a year of dating.
At the time, Avril shared the news on social media with a snap of Mod down on one knee with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
In her caption, she wrote: “Yes! I love you forever (…) Sunday March 27, 2022.”
In the comments, Mod wrote: “love u so much! Forever n ever my angel.”
