Behati Prinsloo is said to be “shocked and upset” after allegations emerged that her husband Adam Levine had an affair.
The lead singer of Maroon 5 has been accused of having an affair that lasted a year with Instagram model Sumner Stroh but he has since denied anything went on, only that he had “crossed a line”.
Behati is currently expecting the couple’s third child and has yet to break her silence on the matter publically, but according to a friend of the couple, the Victoria’s Secret model is devastated.
“Behati is upset but she does believe him that there was no physical affair,” a source told E! News.
“They have been together this entire time. She feels they are happily married and is shocked to find out what was going on behind her back.”
The friend also said that while there are “no excuses for his inappropriate behaviour”, Adam has insisted that “it was nothing physical”.

“He’s disappointed in himself and upset that he has hurt his family like this,” the source continued. “It’s a wake-up call and has made him realise that he has a lot to work on.”
Earlier this week, shortly after the rumours came to light, Adam issued a statement to say that while a line was crossed as he messaged Sumner, he never had an affair with her.
He, however, is yet to confirm if he messaged her to ask could he name his third child after the model.
The statement read: “A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner.
“I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.
“My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again.
“I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”
