Britney Spears shares emotional post about her well being

Olivia Hayes

She checked herself into rehab last month.

Things really came to a head this week after Britney Spears was seen taking a break from her wellness retreat.

For some reason, trolls online have been bashing the singer and her sister Jamie Lynn took to Instagram yesterday to say that nobody knows exactly what is going on in her family’s life.

Britney and Jamie’s dad took ill a few months ago, and obviously the family are trying to deal with the situation out of the spotlight.

However, things took a turn yesterday after the hashtag #FreeBritney started trending on social media. Britney felt the need to take to Instagram to clear a few things up and comment on her well being.

Along with a video, she wrote: “I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There’s rumours, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said.

“I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me. Don’t believe everything you read and hear.”

She also referenced emails that have been doing the rounds in the entertainment industry, which she says are totally fake.

“These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago… I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address.”

She finished by saying that she needs time to herself, away from the spotlight, but she’s strong and will come back fighting.

“My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment. You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you.”
