Carl Mullan welcomes second child with wife Aisling

RTE 2FM Breakfast Show presenter, Carl Mullan, has welcomed his second child with his wife Aisling.

The couple, who married last April, already shared a son named Daibhí in August of 2021.

Keeping with the Irish naming for their offspring, The Dancing With The Stars alum, 33, announced today that their daughter Éala has made her entrance to the world last week ‘a little early like her big brother.’

Taking to Instagram, the radio host shared their happiness with a snap of their little bundle of joy.

“We have a daughter. Éala Mullan arrived bounding in a little early like her big brother on 16/08. The best surprise!! Another Girlie Wirlie in the house!” Carl wrote.

The name Éala translates from Irish to English as ‘swan’ and ‘noble’.

How adorable!

Taking the opportunity to express his love and gratitude to his wife, the 2FM star said Aisling and their new baby were ‘doing great.’

“To Éala and Daibhí’s superhero Mam – as usual I know you’ll cringe reading this cos you don’t want the attention.”

Carl couldn’t seem to help himself and continued honouring his wife for everything she does as a mum and giving birth to their children.

“We are SO SO lucky to have you. Thank you for bringing our beautiful son and now our beautiful daughter into the world. We love you so much.”

Aisling, a frontline worker, and Carl have been together for seven years.

The media personality also took the time to shoutout the staff at Holles Street Hospital, labelling them as ‘angels on earth.’

“I said this when Daibhí was born but I want to scream it from the rooftops again…there will never ever be adequate words to describe the staff in Holles Street Hospital.

“To all of you, thank you for bringing our daughter safely into the world. Not sure if they’ll ever see this, but to Lynn, Rebecca and Emma in particular we’ll never forget you guys.”

As well as his radio career, he is best known for posting hilarious videos on Instagram and concluded his post in true Carl Mullan dad humour.

Writing wrote a future message to his newborn daughter he said: “Éala if you come across this post in years to come and cringe at me, I’m sorry for being such an embarrassing Dad but you’ll get used to it.”
