Ben Foden has said that his cheating wasn’t the only reason that he and wife Una Healy ended their marriage.

Ben and Una separated last summer amid rumours he had been unfaithful to her while she was pregnant with their second child.

In a new interview, the rugby player admitted that he had cheated but said that there was more to it.

“At the moment anything that’s published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so, because I was the one who committed adultery,” he told The Guardian.

“But at the same time, it wasn’t the only reason for our divorce to go through.

“It’s not ideal but we’re very amicable, we’re getting through it.

“We’re not the first people in the world to get divorced. We’ve got two little kids we adore.”

The couple split up days before they and their two children Aoife (6) and Tadgh (4) were due to move to the US where his new team Rugby United New York is.

It emerged that Ben had cheated on the Saturdays singer while she was expecting Tadgh.

Ben went ahead with the move to the states on his own while Una moved home to Thurles in Tipperary with the children.

Una has since moved on, revealing in December that she was seeing former Limerick hurler David Breen.

She shared a new photo of herself and David together today, wishing him a happy Valentine’s Day.
