Another celebrity tattoo, and this one should cause a bit of controversy.

Singer Chris Brown has unveiled a new tattoo on his neck of what appears to be a woman’s bruised and battered face.

A very strange choice of ink considering the 23-year-old’s brutal assault against ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009…

The face structure, arched eyebrows and lips certainly bear a resemblance to Rihanna.

But sources close to Chris insist any similarities are purely coincidental, telling TMZ: 'It's a random woman.'

Chris and Rihanna sparked rumours last week that they may have reunited as a couple as they were spotted kissing and hugging at the MTV VMAs. Rihanna also admitted to Oprah recently that she is still in love with the star.

Rihanna confirmed they still have a 'very close friendship' and added she felt sympathy for him in the wake of the infamous violent attack that left her in hospital.

She explained: 'I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help.'

'The main thing for me is that he is at peace,' she continued. 'I’m not at peace if he is unhappy or he is still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds peace.'

Well, will Rihanna care as much about him finding peace when she sees that tattoo?
