And now, in a weird turn of events, Demi Lovato’s drug dealer has spoken out about the situation.

Chatting to TMZ, Brandon Johnson said that it was Demi who instigated the events leading to her overdose.

“She texted me at 4am because she’s a girl and she wanted to kick it. We hung out,” he said.

“She has long hours and stressful days so she wanted to unwind. 100 per cent she knew what she was taking. She understood fully.”

Brandon went on to explain that they did take stronger drugs than usual, but did not specify.

However, he insisted that all seemed okay before he left, and that Demi had simply fallen asleep.

“When I was with her she was fine. When I showed up she was a little drunk, but nothing out of the ordinary. When I left she’d fallen sleep. She’d passed out, but it was already 7am or 8am. I tucked her in.”

It turns out that Demi was actually unconscious, and later had to be revived by paramedics.
