This weekend saw Irish sports presenter Des Cahill become a grandfather for the second time, as his his son Paul and his partner Áine welcomed a baby girl.
Des shared the good news on social media, where he wrote that the arrival of his granddaughter is the "best birthday present" he has ever received. He also shared the little girl's name – Ellie.
On Instagram, Des shared a photo of him and his wife Caroline holding the new arrival.
"I just got the best birthday present EVER," he wrote in the caption. "To hold our new granddaughter, Ellie."
Des went on to say that it "doesn't get better than this".

"Big congrats to Áine and Paul," he continued. "I've no doubt she will be a sporty young girl, so I've already spoken to her about the nominees for Sportswoman Of The Year."
After sharing the good news, Des and his family were flooded with messages from friends and fans on Instagram.
Hughie Maughan wrote: "Awww I love that", while Des' fellow sports broadcaster Jacqui Hurley wrote: "Ab stop, the cuteness!! Congrats to all the Cahill's! (sic)"
Ellie is Des' second grandchild. His daughter Amy welcomed a baby boy last year.
At the time, Des shared a photo of the newborn on his Instagram page and wrote: "So I became a GRANDAD today!!"
"I can't go in to visit him or his fantastic mother, but I've already decided my ambition for him is that when he rocks up to Coppers Nightclub in 18 or 19 years, the lads on the door will say 'Go ahead - your Grandad is already inside!'"
