He won’t be too happy with this.

Ellie Goulding has been busy promoting her new album Delirium this week, but the singer has caused some raised eyebrows thanks to one of the tracks on her album.

The 28-year old, who was the subject of Ed Sheeran’s song ‘Don’t’ seems to have gotten her revenge – penning a song ‘On My Mind’ about a former love.

It is believed Ed originally wrote the song about former flame Ellie Goulding, after she was unfaithful to him with One Direction’s Niall Horan back in 2013.

Following its massive success as a single and track on Sheeran’s second album X, Goulding chose to include some interesting lyrics in her response a year later.

The song ‘On My Mind’ refers to a former partner saying:

“Thought that you were cute and you could make me jealous/ Pour it down, so I poured it down/ Next thing that I know, I’m in a hotel with you…

“You were talking deep like it was mad love to you/ You wanted my heart, but I just liked your tattoos.”

Speaking to MTV, Ellie denied the link saying to her famous ex arguing:

“I’m sorry to all the people that want it to be about someone – it’s not, it’s like a myth.

“I like guys with tattoos, my boyfriend [Dougie Poynter] has tattoos… but I don’t mind. People can read into it however they want. It’s fun to do that, I would do that too.”

In the midst of its chart success, Ed previously said to The Sun:

“I’m grateful I could get a song out of it, to be honest. I don’t feel it’s about anyone anymore, I’m not attached to that.”

We wonder if he’ll be feeling so calm when he hears the track…
