Iggy Azalea could stand to lose half of her fortune, after an ex-boyfriend served her with divorce papers.
The Fancy rapper was in relationship with Hefe Wine for several years and he is now alleging that they were in a common law marriage as they lived together in Texas.
According to TMZ, Texan law states that a a man and a woman who live together for any length of time are considered legally married if they agree to be married and hold themselves out to others as husband and wife.
Wine is claiming that he and Azalea “agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September 2008” and only began living separately from last year.
Azalea is now in a relationship with NBA star Nick Young and is adamant that she never held herself out as Hefe’s wife and never agreed to be married.
If the court finds against the star and recognises the marriage, Azalea’s music would be recognised as community property and Hefe would be entitled to 50 per cent.
Azalea’s representative has dismissed the move as “a desperate attempt at a money grab”.
