In the latest attack on media airbrushing, Lorde has criticised photographers who photoshopped images of her to remove facial acne.
The controversial singer used her Twitter account to expose editing efforts made to her skin, saying:
i find this curious – two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok 🙂 pic.twitter.com/PuRhxt2u2O

The singer was swamped with messages supporting her decision to show the original images, with fans telling her they were ‘proud’ of her and that she ‘should feel beautiful’.
The move comes in the same week that Emma Watson revealed her anger at the media’s treatment of celebrities and the ‘unreal’ images of women in the fashion industry.
Lorde, we salute you.
