Friends And Family Turn Out To Bid Farewell To The Late Peaches Geldof

The funeral of Peaches Geldof is under way with a number of friends and family arriving to bid farewell to the model and DJ at the private service. 

Among the first to arrive was musician and television presenter, Jools Holland, a close friend and colleague of Peaches’ late mother, Paula Yates.

Others included the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw.

U2 frontman, Bono and Annie Lennox are also expected to pay their respects to the late Mum-of-two.

Sir Bob Geldof is expected to lead tributes to his daughter at the same church the funeral of the 25-year-old’s mother was held in 2000.

St. Mary Magdalene and St. Lawrence Church in Davington, near Faversham, is also the place she married Tom Cohen in 2012. It is also where Yates and Geldof tied the knot in 1986.

Poignant: Peaches’ coffin arrives at the service.

A hearse carrying a personalised sky blue coffin arrived into the Davington Priory estate shortly before 1pm.

The coffin was painted with a picture of Peaches’ family – her husband, their two young sons and pet dogs.

Since the news of her death, tributes have poured in for the young Mum.

Older sister Fifi posted a picture to her Instagram account along with a touching caption that read: “My beautiful sister… Gone but never forgotten. I love you Peaches x.”

Sir Bob Geldof is expected to lead the tributes to his daughter.

Peaches was found dead at her home in Wrotham on Monday 7th April and the cause of her death is still unknown after an autopsy returned a inconclusive verdict.

Results of an upcoming toxicology screen may shed some light on Peaches’ final moments and are expected in coming weeks.
